Cultural Voices
Cultural Voices is a two-year project involving seven community groups across Cornwall. Each group will partner with artists and cultural centres (local museums/archives) who hold fertile under discovered collections and knowledgeable volunteers. The creative media will tour in late 2026.
Rooted in the belief that creativity should be accessible to all, we're bringing arts and culture directly to communities. We're not just showcasing art – we're empowering individuals to become active participants in Cornwall's vibrant cultural landscape, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to create, experience and have a voice.
The idea at the heart of this project is to:
- Experiment with cross-disciplinary arts and media as powerful platforms for amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities and artists.
- Reimagine museums/archives as dynamic spaces ensuring cultural heritage remains living, relevant and meaningful.
- Celebrate Cornwall's rich cultural tapestry through collaborative, inclusive audio-visual storytelling and sharing.
