1st Generation

1st Generation was a scheme which enabled young people to run their own film project, to programme, watch and discuss inspirational movies.

Through regular events at the Royal Cinema, St Ives (part of the UKFC digital screen network) and an after-school club at St Ives School, budding 1st Generation young filmmakers were given the opportunity to take part in filmmaking workshops and make their own movie. You can see "Muffin Mayhem" the film which they made here. The 1st Generation project also secured additional funding from the Community Futures Fund to support a filmmaking workshop with a young filmmakers group in North Cornwall.
