Giant's Quoit

In a windswept corner of the Frying Pan Field on the Pendarves Estate in West Cornwall (TR14 9LR, SW6501437213), sits a neglected pile of stones known as Carwynnen Quoit.

The Tre Project

Tre – a Cornish word for ‘Home/Homestead’.

Using archive film as its inspiration and ‘home’ as its theme, the Tre Project collects old cine footage, creates digital content and produces a programme of new films to screen in community venues across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Pen sans

An ancient harbour in need of change.
Penzance's Holy Headland.
A divided community...

Pen sans is a short film made as part of The Tre Project

From the Dell to the Ocean

From the Dell to the Ocean explores a family’s heritage at a small West Cornwall cove. The film delicately interweaves new interviews with re-discovered personal archive showing sustainable fishing methods of the 1960′s and crab pot making from willow.

This short film unveils the family ties that bind Joseph, an 18 year old boy, to his family history and the place which he calls ‘home’.

Supported by UK Film Council and Feast.
