360° media integration
awen provides a complete service, including the use of all appropriate technologies and methods
- to reach wider audiences than physical media distribution can
- to develop online community resources, and encourage interaction and feedback between producers and audiences
- to extend a project's life beyond the production and delivery stages
- to provide background and research materials
- to present extended and enhanced versions of content
- to provide back-end resource management and project management facilities during production
In many instances the integration of activities across different media spectra is inherent to the aims of the project, not just an add-on after the fact. By thinking through the inter-relationships between audiences, producers and clients we aim to bring added depth and increased value to the project and its stakeholders.
examples:
Farming Families was a year-long participatory digital arts project telling stories from the lives of families who farm West Cornwall. From its inception an on-line presence was intrinsic to the project (www.farmingfamilies.org). During Dec 07 - Jan 08 the project was exhibited at Newlyn Art Gallery.
Following this, the main film was screened at Cornwall Film Festival and 'Cornish Farming Films' programme toured in Autumn 2008 with Carn to Cove rural village hall touring scheme across Cornwall. A DVD can be purchased via our online shop.
